The aims for forming a live band are improving our music skills, the knowledges about musical instruments as well as reducing our stress! Annual Meeting of 2012!!!

It's was the Annual General Meeting of Leo Club of SMK Air Putih 2012! It was held on 19th of January 2012 at the canteen of SMK Air Putih. Many students are so interested to our club and attend this vital meeting! They give most of their corporation! Thank you~
During the meeting, speeches were given by our president , Leo Chang Chung Wei as well as our beloved teacher advisor, Teacher Sammy Yin. Introduction about the Leo Club is also given to the students. Furthermore, there was an election for member representatives of each form. The meeting lasted for 1 hour, probably ended at around 1pm.
We hope that our leo club will achieve the goals with the helps of the leos!

Mandarin Distribution! (Chinese New Year)

What fruit we should eat during Chinese New Year? It is Mandarin Oranges！！！On the 20th of January, Leo Club of SMKAP bought 8 boxes of oranges and distribute to the teachers who give us as much knowledges as they can! Thank you teachers and Happy Chinese New Year!

Candy Selling 2012

In order to raise fund for our leo club, a candy selling for Chinese New Year is organised by the Leos from SMK Air Putih. The leos learnt leadership, cooperation as well as team working from this event. At the end, we have got a fruitful result as many people bought candy packages from us as a gift of friendship and loves to someone. In the future, the leos will become better and better as we have acquired thousands of experiences. However we will still be industrious members in order to achieve our goals!

New Year Celebration with PDK Tunas Siri Teruntum

A joint project with the Leos from SMKTP, SMKC and SMKAP. 29/12/2011, we celebrated New Year with down syndromes from PDK Tunas Siri Teruntum at the Teluk Chempedak Beach. Down Syndrome also know as Trisomy 21. It is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of 21st chromosome. Although they have lower intelligence, they are still mankind. We must treat them well and give them loves and cares!!!!

Mural Drawing at PDK

Together with Leos from SMKTP and SMK Chenderawasih, Air Putih Leos attended the mural painting at PDK ( a school for down syndrome people) . It took three days to complete the mural (19th to 21st of December). Teamworking makes us to finish the mural succesfully. Thanks to Lions Club for giving us a golden opportunity to let us took part in the mural painting activity. 7 Leos from SMK Air Putih and 11 Leos from SMK Tanah Putih represented Kuantan Leos attended the Youth Essential Camp (YES CAMP) of 2011. The camp was a 4 days 3 night camp and it was held at Kuala Kubu Bharu PLKN Camp, Selangor from 8th to 11th of December 2011.
The fee costed 300 Ringgit Malaysia for each participant. From the camp, we have made new friends from other states as well as gaining a lot of experiences and also acquired 12 KEYS TO EXCELLENCE (Integrity, Humilty, Commitment, Ownership, Speaking with Good Purpose, Flexibility, Balance, Passion , Failure = Success, Gratitude , Continuous Learning and This is It). Leo Orientation

On the 1st of October 2011, LIONS Club Of Kuantan and the three sponsored LEO CLUB of Kuantan (SMKAP,SMKTP and SMK Chenderawasih) had organised a LEO ORIENTATION DAY. This event was held at Balok Beach, which is a famous tourist spot of Kuantan. We had invited the District Governor Officer, DR. Ben.C.Ng as the lecturer of the Leo Orientation Day. DR.Ben.C.Ng share us his experiences and knowledge about LEOs. He also taught us about the importances of joining LEO CLUB. We had a great time as the information given by Dr. Ben is so precious and he is kinda a humour person.

After the talk, Dr. Ben gave each of the participants a badge as a token of appreciation for listening to his talk. Then, we had our photography session with DR.Ben.C.Ng, LIONS and LEOS. Then, we enjoyed mouth watering lunch together with LIONS and LEOS. After our lunch, we had our games together.Learning teamwork spirit and make new friends are the purpose of having these games. We had a great wonderful time with them and they we so elated and enjoyed when we were playing!

On the 22nd of October, Leo Club of SMK Air Putih had organised Children’s Day. The activity took place at Rapha’s Home, which is an orphanage in Kuantan. There are 35 adorable children stay in Rapha’s home.The organising chairman is our lovely LEO Tang May Hui. The purpose of having this activity is to celebrate Children’s Day with the orphans at Rapha’s Home. We had brought them some delicious foods and snacks for them and also play some games with them,There are photos for references.

Installation Night is a red letter day for the LEOs. The purpose of holding Installation Night is to install new members of Leo Club and Committee board of Leo Club. It also acts as a farewell party for the outgoing members and committees This year, the 35th Installation Night of LEO Club SMK Air Putih is held at the poolside of Vistana Hotel, Kuantan. Attractive flyers were distributed and tickets were sold in order to invite people who are interested in joining the night. At the end, we were able to sell more than 100tickets. In other words, more than 100 guests including members, students, representatives attended our night.

The night started arround 8pm after all the VIPs arrived to the poolside. After all the guests are seated. National anthem and LEO pledge titled "I Pledge" were sung. Next, a flag salutation is given by Leo Goh Yong Yie. Then, welcome songs are performed. This time, we were able to invite Chee Yan (Sin Chew Sunshine Girl 2011) and Liru Wong. Both of them are talented in singing and "Rolling In The Deep'' was being sung by them. Later, after performing the song ''Lazy Song", Leo Kong Juan Jien sang his favourite love song "First Experience of Love'' and brought romantic and calming surrounding feelings.

After singing welcome songs, speeches were given by Organizing Chairman of the night-Leo Lam Chin Yit, Lion Wong, Lion Karen Nah and also Principal of SMKAP- Mr Nanda. The dinner started after they gave the speeches. Guests were able to enjoy a feast with a buffet-style dinner. There were more than 30cuisines to choosing. After enjoying the dinner, it was the installation of new members as well as new committee members of LEO Club SMKAP. It was also the climax of the night. Then，LEO Chang Chung Wei, new president of LEO Club SMKAP gave a talk.

Afterwards, it was the time for lucky draw and unlucky draw. We have prepared amazing hampers and also some creepy prizes too. We shall thanked to Leo Aw Heng Hui for sponsoring the hampers and prizes. Next, Incentives are given to active LEO members who passes the PMR and SPM with flying colours. In addition, as a token of appreciation, committee members of LEO CLUB SMKAP 2010 received award provided by the Lions. Besides, souvenirs are given to representatives from Lionsclub, LEO CLUB of SMKTP and SMK Cenderawasih, representatives from SABS, MGS and SMK Alor Akar.

Great performances are continued after incentives, awards and souvenirs presentation. First, there was a Solo by Irene. Irene is an exchange student of SMKAP from Spain under AFS. She sang two songs besides playing piano. She performed very well and received a round of applause. Next, there was a beatbox show by Ultimate Beatbox feat. Tan Yew Seng. Ultimate beatbox an experienced beatbox team starring Yaw Wai Joon and Tan Kuok Zhen. Ultimate beatbox has just won the second runner up of a competition held by MyFM. Afterwards, It was the Live Band!!!! The Band members are Max Wong , Kok Leong, Jasmine, Kong, Chee Yan and Liru. Their performance was great and made the night ROCKS~ ROAR! Wonderful Dances by UNKNOWN are followed after the live band. The dancer were hot and sexy!

Time of Happiness always passes quickly. Without a moment，the night reached to its end. Many people took photos for memories. The night is held successfully and able to bring fun as well as happiness to the guests. Although there were some technical problems, the organizing committees overcome the problems. Once again,the fruitful night plays the role as an evidence which proves our strength and potential of LEOs. We have learned a lot of things and acquired myriads of experiences from the night. Next year, the 36th of Installation Night of SMKAP, we hope that we can reduce our mistakes and problems and make the a great and amazing night. ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!

ODD JOB

As usual, we had odd jobs. The purpose to have odd jobs is to raise funds for our club, Leo Club of SMK Air Putih. This year, we had odd jobs on the 14th of August 2011( Sunday). The leos gathered at TC beach ( Teluk Chempedak) at 7.00am. We brought pails, clothes and cleaning agents. After all the volunteers arrived, we had a meal and took photos for good remembering memories. Around 8am, we began our job, our journey to our destination, The Pelindung area. First, we arrived at a huge bungalow. The owner of the bungalow ordered us to plow the grass and also beautify the environment. we did it and took for more than 1 hour to finish it. We went to house by house for asking the owners to allow us to do some houseworks in order to raise fund for our club. Some rejected us while some accepted our request kindly. Many houseworks or jobs we did, such as washing cars, decorating the gardens and others

At the end,we were bursting with joy becasue we earned hundreds of ringgits and able to raise funds for our club successfully. Although we were exhausted but we were elated and enjoyed. At here, we would like to thank our leos for sacrificing their times and energy to make the activity to be carried out fruitfully. The odd jobs gave experiences to us and let us to become more mature, more industrious and more teamworking in our daily routine or life. We will discuss to our president to hold odd jobs again for the next year.

Car Wash 2010

After the Leo Installation Night of our club, we planned an car wash on 26th of August. But due to the some problems, we've postponed it to 2nd of September. We raised some funds for our club and thank to all the members who joined us in this activity. Once again, we made it a successful one. Good job. :))

Rubik's Cube Competition is over!
With all the hardworks done by the leos. The programme was done succesfully.

The RCC is jointly organize by Leo of SMKAP and SMTP. Though at first we were thinking to do it ourselves, but with the advise of Lions, we joined with the Leo Club of SMTP. No doubt, they are good partners and we did enjoy organizing events with them.

The competition do not have too many competitors as we only have 30+++ contestants. It was the first time that Rubik's Cube Competition organized in Kuantan. So that much of response had satisfied us. It seems impossible for us to do this at first because none of us had been watching or participating in a Rubik's Cube Competition. All we did was read and apply. Job well Done Leos as we did it successfully.

The best record is 17 seconds by the champion in round 2. But in the final, it was slightly slower. 20.8 seconds. Consider a very good one. This showed "Kuantan-ese" weren't bad in playing cubes!

We thanks Lions Club of Kuantan, YB Chang, sponsorship and everyone who had gave us a hand to make this event a succesful one. Thank you!

Leos were celebrating CNY with the Rapha's Home children last saturday.
It was a success and the first time which we brought them to the school.

the leos were waiting for them since early in the morning.
finally they reached.. but they were too shy =)

The girls who came back from YES Camp 2009 brought memories and experiences back !

The camp was so fun, we spents 4 days at Benum Eco Hill Resort, Raub but thats totally NOT enough for us ! We've knew lots of friends over there, from strangers to friends and then best friends who gossip every night before bed and chat every minute during the outdoor activities or indoor lectures. You cant imagine how fun was it, the Lions and facilitators are all so nice and friendly. They helped us alot in the 4 days 3 nights and taught us alot, and we made friends with them who are with the age of 20, 30, 40 or even 50.

And there came the last day of YES Camp, we exchanged contact numbers, e-mail addresses and so on. We hugged each other, shaked hands and said GOODBYE. We promised, to have a gathering soon. And see everyone again during the LEO FORUM 2010.
